Tone Burst Tankard
Handmade stoneware mug in a tankard style with a cobalt blue glaze and Tone Burst logo stamped onto one side. Glazed white on the interior with a white dip over the blue at the top. Made with food safe materials, it is safe to use in the microwave and can be put in an automatic dishwasher. Appropriate for use with hot and cold beverages. Approximately 11cm/4.5in tall and 8cm/3in wide without the handle. Capacity is approximately 350ml/12 fluid oz and will vary from mug to mug. Made by Chester Winowiecki in Whitehall, MI USA.

Each item is assembled by hand. The mark of the maker can be found on the surface of the items, showing the efforts to manipulate materials and minimise waste. For us, an imperfect artefact for sale is preferable to a usable flaw in the dump.

Dedicated to everyone caught in the act of becoming.

Recorded live in my home studio in February 2022. Performed on a Monome Norns Shield controlled by a Shbobo (Ciat-Lonbarde) Shnth. Amplified through a custom built 4 channel PA using a selection of resonant objects attached to speakers and audio transducers.

Thank you to fellow Tone Burst artist, Colin Drake, for making this album possible by creating the Norns/Shnth library and writing the script “Grainzer.”

Thank you, Cara O’Brien, for never letting me give up or present anything but by best work.
